READ ALL ABOUT IT
Starting the semester I was not so thrilled about taking another english course, if I am being honest I thought I learned everything that I needed to know. But after taking this course I have discovered so many valuable lessons and tactics. What I enjoyed most about this class was how interactive it was and how the in class assignments were something I liked and could relate to on a personal level. Learning about genres and how some things that I use in my daily were allowed to be incorrpurated into my project I found amazing. Two of my favorite genres included using social media and photos to share what we learned on a specific topic and watching documentaries and tweeting our opinions on them was my favotire assignment of the semester, not only did I find interacting with my peers interesting but it was refreshing to be able to learn new ideas through something enjoyable and not just a boring textbook. Project 1 has changed me personally because it really opened up my creative and thoughtful side; my first project was about how I communicated with my friends and family my first semester away at college. Although very interested that does not mean I did not face challenges along the way, Wix was something I struggled with throughout the semester but now that the course is over I am happy that I have something that I can display and show everyone of my hard work; rather than just having a bunch of papers stuffed under my desk. Overall, this course I legitimately learned the inside and out about genres, something I did not understand starting off the semester. I am proud to say that I learned how to make my own website, and now when someone mentions the word genre I have several things to add to the conversation instead of sitting there quitely. I am happy to say I enjoy writing so much more now and I feel like I can express genres through my own experiences at my own level, something I was not capable of doing before this class.
