After reading this article I am shocked to see how much fiction goes into nonfiction documentaries. I am not naive I was aware that of course in a production of any kind to make it interesting for the audience some fabrication needs to be done, but to the extent on which some producers are willing to go is unethical. This article applies to me a researcher because how do I know when researching my topic what I am reading is true? How do I know that the facts I’m basing my whole paper on isn’t a lie? I don’t that’s the thing, that is why when ever I do research I do not base my facts on just one source. After reading through this article it is clear to me that my methods are more than necessary especially when writing my research paper. Listening to all the producer’s opinions on how much unethical production goes on I will be going through my research with a fine tooth comb. I will make sure the facts that I am relaying to my audience are 100 percent true and have are based off a backbone that is honest and stable.
