Food for Thought and Bonus:

  1. In the past 24 hours since late afternoon after class on Monday, I have tried to not eat such fattening food after seeing the documentaries shown in class. I have a meal plan and attempted to eat less processed food, I had directly after class a bowl of grapes and strawberries for a snack. Then for dinner I had a chicken and cheese wrap, green beans, chips and lemonade. This morning I woke up and had a yogurt with a banana, lunch came around and I had chicken once again chopped up this time with veggies, mashed potatoes and tater tots. Before I went to my afternoon class I treated myself with some chocolate cake and that wrapped up the 24 hours right before dinner. I would most defiantly say my diet is balanced, I try to eat as much fruits and vegetables as a college student can take. I could probably use more protein in my diet and less sugar.

  1. The documentary I found is called, “Fed Up with Rising Childhood Obesity.” This documentary is written by David Morgan, made May 8, 2014. I gathered through the context that sugar is just as bad as fat and that most people do not realize how awful it is for you. It added to the conversation of my topic of obesity, America is not the only thing growing-so are its people. Sugar just proves my topic to be even more serious because when they take the fat out of a product they have to compensate to make the taste the same- with sugar. This documentary could be useful for my research because it shows how drastic obesity is growing in America, and that things that we don’t think add to our weight truly do.
