Potential Genres Proposal

For my potential genres proposal my topic is going to regard how childrens childhood in 2015 are affected by technology opposed to 2000. This topic is very controversial and is talked about every single day; do todays children have a better childhood than children from over a decade ago? What is the right answer to that? My audience wil be geared towards a crowd of young adults and my classmates. I will make my auidence think about their childhood and the childhood of children today, comparing and contrasting the two. Four different genres I could include in my paper could be through pictures, an audio of me speaking, video clips and a brochure. The use of pictures in my paper will give my audience a visual aspect of the point I am trying to get across, with visuals readers always find it easier to understand the authors point of view. Using an audio clip can express the authors opinion, when the readers get to hear the way the author leans towards agreeing with a topic or disagreeing the audience can understand what the authors opinion on the topic is and more importantly why it is. Using video clips shows more details than words can, having detail in your paper is what makes it worthy of the read. When you have more detail lets say for example in a persuasive essay the audience are more likely to agree with your opinion as a reader if he or she explains the detail in the right way, like through an audio diary. And lastly, using a brochure is worthy of being in my paper because of how different that is compared to regular MLA format papers. Readers appreciate a unique paper, theirs eyes laying on something different. With a brochure the author can show the audience pros and cons, agreements and disagreements; a comparison which is always vital in a paper. All these types of genres are worthy and unique and is what will make an multigenre project paper worth the read.
